Malts

North Carolina and Virginia was the target area for the Malt Lager cans. As these states would not allow Malt Liquor to be sold with the Breweries other products, the Breweries simply switched to the term Malt Lager for the same product.

This picture shows the Malt Liquor on the left in each set of cans and the identical Lager products to the right. Note the Kentucky Malt Lager was only made as a flat top but was also targeted for these two states.
